Please don't forget that our submission period opens up tomorrow for next year's Wedding Pink. It will only be open for 18 days so we recommend submitting your story sooner than later. You may find all of the details as well as the submission form here.
Anyone who is engaged or soon-to-be engaged and whose lives have recently been touched by breast cancer qualify to submit their story. One deserving couple will be awarded a dream wedding valued at over $30,000.

Next year's wedding will be amazing and if you haven't heard, it is taking place at the Wine Country Inn in Palisade, Colorado. We are working on a couple other goodies for the wedding, stay tuned to our blog or facebook page for the information.
For all of the guests at Roxanne and Joseph's wedding, the online web gallery is live. Please note that any proceeds from print orders benefit next year's Wedding Pink. As most of you know we just wrapped up this year's Wedding Pink and we are happy to report that it was a huge success. We've barely had time to breathe as we are working around the clock bringing together another great team of vendors for next year's wedding on the western slope.
In case you have missed it here are a "few" of the great things that we are putting together for next year.
The wedding will take place on Sunday, May 5 at the Wine Country Inn in Palisade, Colorado and will be coordinated by Chelsea of Chelsea Allie Wedding Planning and Design. High Country Orchards and Vineyards will be hosting a welcome cocktail reception on Saturday, May 4. JR's Carriage Service will be providing horse carriage rides for family and friends through the vineyards. Sweet Treats by Danielle will be making a beautiful wedding cake while 3 Leaf Floral Design will put together some amazing floral arrangements. Wedding guests will also enjoy dancing with entertainment by DJ Ryan Griz and will have a blast with the 970 Photo Booth Company. All of these great memories will be captured by Fifth Gear Portrait Designs and Cheryl Ungar Wedding Photography.
Please don't forget that our submission period is open this summer, August 1 - 18. We encourage anyone to submit their story as long as they meet our submission criteria.

The photos speak for themselves. Roxanne and Joseph are happily married. It was a beautiful day and a perfect ending to Roxanne's story of survival.

In the spirit of passing it on from one survivor to another, Robin Roberts was kind enough to send a video message to Roxanne and Joseph. You can imagine the surprise, delight and gratitude they felt when this video was played during the reception.

The Wedding Pink - 2012 took place yesterday in Beaver Creek. It was an honor to see Roxanne and Joseph share this joyous occasion with family and friends. Roxanne was stunning! The weather was perfect, just a beautiful day all around.

With all of the excitement of next week's Wedding Pink I almost forgot to mention that Melissa, our beautiful bride from last year, and I will be on the Channel 7 morning show in Denver.
It is a great opportunity to see how Melissa is doing one year later, catch up on the status of this year's wedding and see how you can submit your story for next year's wedding.

As most of you know this year's Wedding Pink is taking place next week and we are all so excited to see Roxanne and Joseph tie the knot. This is the perfect ending to Roxanne's story of survival and we couldn't be more thrilled to have given them this wedding.
In addition to all of the generous vendors who are donating their services and products we have 2 local companies that we would like to recognize. Both of them have provided funding in order to cover the small costs of the wedding that we could not otherwise get donated.

What is a wedding without custom wedding bands by Todd Reed. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of introducing Roxanne and Joseph to Todd who has generously offered to create custom wedding bands for each of them. Todd is a master at his craft and I know they are going to be beautiful!
One year ago today we had the honor of giving away the first annual Wedding Pink.
Melissa and Jeff, congratulations on your anniversary and best wishes for many more wonderful years together.
I had a little surprise package show up late last week. The gals over at Girl ExtraOrdinaire sent the cutest shirts for Roxanne and her bridesmaids. We at The Wedding Pink are grateful for their donation this year as well as last year. Thank you Girl ExtraOrdinaire for helping make Roxanne's dream wedding become a reality!
We still have one portrait sitting open for the afternoon of Thursday, April 12.
